Dear friends, many of you, who accepted our ML learning challenge reported problems with the free ML hands-on fundamentals class by the esteemed Laurence Moroney, which I previously recommended. Today I carved out some time to examine it myself and, indeed, some parts have aged over the year. I have compiled a set of quick recommendations:

My Advice to Save Your Time

  1. If you code then you can fork Laurence’s repository here: About Colabs for ML Day Tokyo.

  2. Otherwise, this is the YouTube class: YouTube ML Foundations.

  3. Environment: Running on Google’s Colab is just fine! - Colab ML Foundations.

  4. Environment: If you want to play locally, then the fastest way to set up your environment is to use Install Anaconda.

  5. Broken Link Fix Lab 5: Here is your dataset: Horses or Humans Dataset.

  6. Broken Link Fix Lab 6: Here is your dataset: Cats and Dogs Dataset

I use JetBrains DataSpell and PyCharm installed by JetBrains ToolBox JetBrains Toolbox.

Happy Machine Learning, Friends!
