The most powerful weapon of mass destruction is not a nuke. It’s propaganda!
Everyone wants to claim they’ve mastered it. Only russia has.
Russia invented it as statecraft. Catherine II — a German, not a russian — perfected it as a weapon of empire-building. She created values for plebs and rules for the rulers. Arguing that autocrats need DUMB slaves and only dumb slaves — of mind, of values, of faith, and of wealth.
Having hired "psychologists," by today’s standard, she devised "wisdom" for peasants, such as "tsar is good, it’s the boyars that are bad", "stealing isn’t bad, getting caught is bad", "we will never know the truth", and many more. All the wisdoms were carefully curated and tested by her team.
The one about "truth" is special! The russian language today has two words for "truth," and neither one means "facts."
Remember, russian language didn’t exist yet — russians are not Slavs, they’re Finno-Ugric people — she crafted
their new language from Church-Slavonic, which was already considered holy because Ukraine wrote books in it.
"Pravda" is the word for "truth," and it comes with an exceptional property bestowed by its "wisdom":
"everyone has their own truth." So, truth is cardinal — the higher the rank, the stronger the truth.
"Istina" is the truth God holds — belongs only to God, and of course, also private to God
(remember: everyone has their own truth). So, that too is relative.
And then she reused a construct her predecessor Ivan the 1st created — "clergy serves the state".
This is why today so many russian Orthodox priests are FSB officers — that has 'always' been the case in Muscovy.
Having clergy announce to plebs that "she stands next to God," she both put herself next to istina and reserved
plausible deniability for herself coterminously.

Russians today believe some form of Catherine’s "wisdom" not even knowing about it.
Example: the Potemkin village trope comes from her 1787 Crimea tour, staged to impress European ambassadors before a war. Modern historians now believe the wooden-village story itself was disinformation — spread by Saxon and Finnish diplomats to make russia look weak to the Turks. Russia ran a psyop so deep that the psyop about the psyop became history.
That’s the lineage — a weapon-system designed to strike the gullible right in the brain!
The modern doctrine is catalogued by RAND as the Firehose of Falsehood: high volume, multichannel, rapid, no commitment to truth or internal consistency. Don’t persuade — saturate. Don’t convince — exhaust. Prop-up BOTH sides of any argument! When everything is a lie, nothing is a lie. When every source contradicts every other source, people stop looking for truth and start looking for comfort. Truth literally becomes "relative." And the efficacy of a source — irrelevant.
And notice — even RAND didn’t get it! They described "the method." Not the governing dynamic.
Our Western minds, with our Western values, can’t readily call this — it requires effort.
Russian people joke about it openly: "Our greatest weapon is a screen."

QAnon is the Flagship that Keeps Floating
GRU-linked Internet Research Agency accounts amplified QAnon from its first days. @CovfefeNationUS pushed the "Q" theory on November 10 — less than two weeks after the first 4chan post. #QAnon was the second-most-tweeted hashtag on the 418 Kremlin-tied accounts Twitter purged. Stanford documented russian and Chinese amplification. Russia-backed state media kept amplifying through 2020. The Mueller Report mapped the broader influence-operations pattern underneath it.
I’ve built several machine analytics models on the movement for a top NC research institution using my old MlOps framework — the campaign was freakin' brilliant, as commented by one of the researchers! It converted 77% of prospects (follows) and recruited 41% of converts (advocates). Any marketer on the planet would kill for an order of magnitude less than that!
Think about it — four out of five seeking Q will follow it — gullible American struck straight
in the thick brain! Then, they become russian pendos under some snotty GRU orc curation.
And then one of three pendos starts recruiting! I remember how moved I was by these stats — "does this mean
that rural Nebraska, for example, in less than ten years, is all russian-pendos voting for a russian-pendo candidate?!"
I also remember foolishly dismissing this thought — that’s impossible.
Not in my 'Merica, not in my time — I thought.
QAnon is one of about a hundred fringe movements russia intercepted and turned that we know of.
It just happened to work best on Americans. And it just happened to all leak out into OSINT because of a bloody
fight between GRU and FSB for the ownership of the project — FSB eventually won, albeit bleeding data.
I am curious about one thing — was that FSB colonel Simonyan project?
I guess "I will never know the truth."[1]

Russia didn’t create QAnon — it never creates fringe movements: that would be silly and inefficient. It found a match, lit it, and handed it back to a carefully selected dumb redneck. Both FSB and GRU operations are science, art, and engineering together. Feeble-minded masses of people are their core specialty: vatnik, pendos, and the like. Their Current Victory is Even More Spectacular
Much more interesting than QAnon is Orkish current "work in progress." GRU has convinced a large portion of the American electorate that the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine war depends on russia. And it depends on Trump. Factually, it depends on neither! Russia is all in already. And Trump has ZERO leverage over Ukraine. What Does "War End" Mean? runs the model.
But russia-curated pendos believe that russia is strong and that russia is inevitable. That Ukraine fighting back is pointless, expensive to pendos (though they pay no taxes), and someone else’s problem.
a) Every one of those beliefs is demonstrably false.
b) Every one of them serves exactly one interest.
c) And, innately residual to pendos' core psyche.

So now, in every geopolitical model since July 2024, this war resolves along exactly two axes:
